Job summary

Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI) is seeking a Class A CDL driver in Williamsport, MD to transport products from suppliers to customers and distribution centers. You’ll work various schedules, including 2-5 days per trip, and be part of our no-touch and team driver options.

You’ll follow DOT/FMCSA rules, maintain MPG goals, read load paperwork, and share a safety-first mindset. We offer competitive pay with training and opportunities for advancement, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL and a good MVR.
• Haz-Mat and tanker endorsements (can be obtained during training).
• Medical examiner certificate from a company-approved examiner.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate DTI equipment to transport product.
• Comply with DOT/FMCSA and other regulations.
• For all jobs except no-touch freight, load and unload dry and temperature-controlled goods.
• Meet company goals for MPG, fuel purchases, idle time and speed.
• Read and understand load paperwork and product descriptions.
• Identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

Pay

Starting pay up to $90K for inexperienced, first year earners, depending on job type and schedule (See pay options). Plus bonus and incentive opportunities! (Pay range includes training pay and is variable based on driver experience, job type, and schedule)

Traditional (typically dispatched 2-5 days per trip), 6x3 (6 days on 3 days off), 4x4 (4 days on 4 days off -CDS only), full-time, part-time

You'll pick up product from Dot Foods suppliers and transport product to our customers and distribution centers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• As a best-in-class driver, safely and efficiently operate DTI equipment to transport product
• Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements set by the Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and any other governing body
• For all jobs except no-touch freight, load and unload dry and temperature-controlled goods
• Meet established company goals, including managing MPG, fuel purchases, idle time, and speed
• Read and understand DTI load paperwork and product and packaging descriptions
• Identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

ROLE SPECIFICS

• Regular physical activity required for all jobs except no-touch freight; must be able to safely lift on average 14 pounds and at the most around 60 pounds
• Includes sitting, walking, or standing during work hours

YOU MUST HAVE

• Class A CDL and a good motor vehicle report or ability to obtain a Class A CDL " we help cover driving school tuition for new drivers

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

• Six months of over-the-road experience or graduate of approved truck driver training school
• High school diploma or GED
