Job summary

Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI) is seeking professional CDL drivers to transport products to customers and distribution centers from Modesto, CA.

This role offers varied schedules including traditional, 6x3, team, full-time, and part-time roles with no-touch freight for qualified drivers. Drivers will be responsible for safe operation, regulatory compliance, loading/unloading, and achieving efficiency targets while enjoying a supportive, safety‑mocused workplace with top‑tier equipment and

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean motor vehicle record
  • Haz‑Mat and tanker endorsements required
  • Ability to pass our PAT
  • Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English
  • Safety‑first mindset is essential
  • Six months of over‑the‑road experience or completion of driver training is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate DTI equipment to transport product
  • Comply with DOT, FMCSA and regulatory requirements
  • Load and unload dry and temperature‑controlled goods
  • Meet company goals including MPG, fuel purchases, idle time, and speed
  • Read and understand load paperwork and product descriptions
  • Identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

Location: Modesto, CA - Hiring immediately

Pay: Starting pay up to $89K for first year earners, depending on job type and schedule (See pay options). (Pay range includes training pay and is variable based on driver experience, job type, and schedule)

Schedule Available: Traditional (typically dispatched 5.5 days per trip), 6x3 (6 days on 3 days off), team, full-time, part-time

Job Type(s) Available: No Touch Freight, Team Drivers

Environment: Work in all weather conditions on weekdays, weekends, days, and nights

What You’ll Do
  • Safely and efficiently operate DTI equipment to transport product
  • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements set by the Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and any other governing body
  • Load and unload dry and temperature‑controlled goods
  • Meet established company goals, including managing MPG, fuel purchases, idle time, and speed
  • Read and understand DTI load paperwork and product and packaging descriptions
  • Identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
Role Specifics
  • Regular physical activity required for all jobs except no‑touch freight; must be able to safely lift on average 14 pounds, up to around 60 pounds
  • Includes sitting, walking, or standing during work hours

Job Requirements
You Must Have
  • Class A CDL and a good motor vehicle report or ability to obtain a Class A CDL
  • Haz‑Mat and tanker endorsements
  • Ability to pass our physical ability test (PAT)
  • Ability to read, speak, and comprehend the English language
  • Safety‑first mindset
You May Also Have
  • Six months of over‑the‑road experience or graduate of approved truck driver training school with 140‑160 hours minimum
  • High school diploma or GED
