Position Details:

• Component Pay: Minimum Guarantee of $32.00 Hourly. Upwards potential of $43.00 Hourly.
• Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday / 1st shift. Start time around 3am-4:30am. Start and end times vary, 10-12hr shifts.

Position Purpose:

Food and food service delivery drivers play a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. They ensure products arrive on time and in good condition, and serve as the face of the company by building lasting customer relationships.

The Driver Trainee is an entry-level role for driver training. Trainees will learn or gain experience in hauling freight and operating tractor trailers, assisting drivers with deliveries and routes, and interacting professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers. They will perform duties to serve the company effectively.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Completing Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Assisting driver trainers with deliveries.
• Performing safety checks and inspections according to DOT regulations.
• Reporting safety issues and repairs.
• Following all DOT and company safety policies.
• Inspecting freight loads and securing freight properly.
• Checking and completing all freight paperwork accurately.
• Driving to and delivering customer orders as scheduled.
• Unloading products, verifying deliveries, and obtaining signatures.
• Handling customer returns and damaged goods.
• Completing daily hours of service logs per regulations.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the tractor and loading areas.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 0-12 months CDL A experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL A license.
• Meet state licensing and certification requirements.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years.
• Pass drug test, background check, and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift and move freight weighing 10-90 pounds using appropriate equipment.
