About This Opportunity

Drives The Salvation Army truck along scheduled routes to pick up donations, operating in compliance with Salvation Army standards and state driving regulations. Lifts, carries, loads, and unloads various items including furniture, appliances, and clothing. Ensures the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations. Assists in the Thrift Store and sorting area, helping store customers with donations, purchases, and inquiries. Operates and maintains a cash register, maintains store cleanliness and displays, and assists with security and pricing.

What We Are Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• One year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck and working in retail
• Valid State Driver's License
• Equivalent training and experience considered

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Ability to drive a heavy-duty truck
• Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, or squatting; occasional sitting
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, dust, and dirt
