Job summary

The Salvation Army in Hot Springs, AR is seeking a dedicated truck driver to support donation pickups and merchandise deliveries along a scheduled route. You will operate a Salvation Army truck, follow established standards and state regulations, and assist with warehouse and thrift store duties.

Responsibilities include lifting and loading donations such as furniture and appliances, ensuring safety and accountability of the vehicle, and helping sort and price items for display while maintaining

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• One year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Valid State Driver's License.

• Drive the Salvation Army truck along the scheduled route to pick up donations and deliver merchandise.
• Operate the truck in compliance with Salvation Army standards and state driving regulations.
• Lift, carry, load and unload donations including furniture, appliances, clothing, etc.
• Ensure the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.
• Assist in performing work in the thrift store and warehouse, including sorting and pricing donated items.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area.

Drives Salvation Army truck along scheduled route to pick-up donations and/or deliver merchandise to customers; op-erates the truck in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and state driving regulations; lifts, carries, loads and unloads variety of donations including furniture, appliances, clothing, etc.; ensures the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times; assists in performing work in the thrift store and warehouse; receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area.Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required,andone year experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van,orany equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Certifications/LicensesValid State Driver's License.
