Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is hiring full-time Class A CDL truck drivers for home-daily routes in Kings Mountain, NC. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday with an average of 57 hours per week, and drivers receive a comprehensive benefits package.

Average annual pay is around $88,000 with additional incentives up to $10,400 yearly. Trucks are Penske-maintained with safety features; a strong emphasis on customer service and safety. Training opportunities and nationwide locations are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate)
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience or 2 years in last 5 years
• Clean DMV/MVR record with few violations
• English language proficiency required by federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Willingness to work the specified schedule and pass background and drug screenings

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries to automotive dealerships.
• Unload trailer using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.
• Scan products as they are unloaded and delivered.
• Manage up to 7 stops per route.

What you will do:

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
• 7 stops per route

Schedule:

• Dispatch time is 10PM
• 5 day schedule - Monday to Friday
• Average 57 hours per week
• Home daily

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
