Job summary

Penske Logistics is hiring CDL Class A truck drivers for home daily routes in Kings Mountain, NC. The position offers Monday–Friday schedules with an average of about 57 hours per week and a strong benefits package.

You will perform multi-stop deliveries to automotive dealerships, unload with pallets and carts, and use scanners to track products. Safety and DOT compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required; must be domiciled in the U.S.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency required by federal law
• Schedule, location, employment application, background check and drug screening required
• Position is safety-sensitive under DOT rules; must stay alert and safe

• Additional performance incentives available, up to $10400 annually

What you will do

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
• 7 stops per route

Schedule

• Dispatch time is 10PM
• 5 day schedule - Monday to Friday
• Average 57 hours per week
• Home daily

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
