Job summary

Penske Logistics is hiring full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers in San Jose, CA. You will drive late model Penske trucks on various local accounts, complete multi-stop deliveries, and unload using pallet jacks.

Expect home daily schedules and a strong benefits package including health, retirement, and life insurance; driver referral bonuses and safety incentives are offered. Average annual pay is around $79,040 with additional incentives up to $10,400 yearly.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL; must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in home state.
• Currently hold, or obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• English language proficiency required by federal law.
• Drug screening and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts to automotive dealerships.
• Unload trailers using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.
• Use scanner to log products as they are unloaded and delivered.

What you will do

• Work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed
• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
