Job summary

Penske Logistics in US-TX-Big Spring is hiring full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers. You will shuttle trailers, deliver parts to automotive dealerships, unload cargo with pallet jacks, and scan items on delivery.

Expect a 5-day schedule, home daily, with a typical weekly hours around 70 and benefits from day one. Drivers must have a valid Class A CDL, Hazmat within 90 days of hire, and pass DOT medical and background checks.

• Valid Class A CDL; must be domiciled in the U.S.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
• English language proficiency per federal DOT rules
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) required

What you will do:

• Shuttle empty trailer
• Perform delivery of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered

Schedule:

• Dispatch time: 2:30 PM
• 5 day schedule: Monday through Friday
• Avg. 70 hours per week
• Home Daily

• Late model, Penske maintained trucks

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
