Job summary

Penske Logistics in San Bernardino, CA is seeking full-time CDL Class A truck drivers for local, home daily routes. You will perform multi-stop deliveries and unload cargo using pallet jacks and rolling cages, with in-cab cameras supporting safety.

You’ll be paid weekly and eligible for comprehensive benefits. Qualifications include valid CDL, DOT medical card, 1 year of tractor-trailer experience (or 2 years in last 5), clean DMV/MVR, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL and be domiciled in the U.S.
• Must hold or obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• English language proficiency per federal law.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multi-stop parts and supplies to automotive dealerships.
• Unload trailer using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.
• Drive late-model Penske trucks.
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered.
• Work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed.

What you will do:

• Work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed


• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships


• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages


• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
  

Schedule:

• Dispatch times will vary depending on work assignment


• Mostly covering overnight PM delivery shifts


• Local, home daily


• Home Daily

• Late model, Penske maintained trucks

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence


• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required


• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years


• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents


• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.


• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.


• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
