Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Grove City, OH, offering weekly pay and strong benefits. Expect about $1340+ per week ($25.50/hr), overtime after 40 hours, and a $2000 loyalty bonus. Training is provided; schedule is Monday–Friday with a 6:00 AM start.

Deliveries to FL and the Eastern US using sleepers and 26' straight trucks. Ryder will train you; 1 year dry van experience is required. Benefits start after 30 days and include medical, dental, vision, PTO from day 1, uniforms, boot

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL with endorsements.
• 1 year Dry Van experience required.
• Able to pass Ryder Drug Test, background check, and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors with 53ft trailers for routes to the Eastern US.
• Maintain safety, log accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Load/unload freight and assist as needed.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• $1340 Weekly guarantee
• Hourly Pay: $25.50 Per Hour
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours

• Deliver SOLOTo: FL and Locations Throughout the Eastern US. Away from home up to 85% of the time
• Tractor Type: Mixture of Sleeper Tractors with 53ft Trailers & 26' Straight Trucks
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• 1 year Dry Van experience required.
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack and Lift Gate
• Freight: Touch/Driver Assist - HVAC

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
