Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Groveport, OH, offering a weekly guaranteed pay and hourly pay with overtime and per diem. Training is provided; routes are to the Eastern US with overnight stays in Ryder-booked hotels.

Expect 40+ hours per week, with a typical start around 6:00 AM and a Monday–Friday schedule. Ryder emphasizes respect for talent and offers benefits after 30 days, PTO, uniforms and boot allowances, 401(k) with company match, and generous referral

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 1 year Dry Van experience required.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test and background check, including motor vehicle records for last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight if required by customer; assist as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $25.50 Per Hour
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Loyalty Bonus:Pays You $1000 at 6 months and $1000 at 1 year

• Deliver SOLOTo: FL and Locations Throughout the Eastern US. Away from home up to 85% of the time
• Tractor Type: Mixture of Sleeper Tractors with 53ft Trailers & 26' Straight Trucks

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road testProvide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
