Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to operate in Groveport, OH. Earn weekly pay, strong benefits, and a reliable driving career with paid training and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Hourly pay is $24.75 with overtime after 40 hours, nightly per diem, and a guaranteed weekly amount. Expect routes primarily to the Eastern US, with overnight hotel stays and company support for equipment and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A license and 1 year of dry van experience (or as stated).
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions with accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and road regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and Ryder policies.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries and hours.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight if required and ensure on-time delivery.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $24.75 Per Hour
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours

• Per Diem Pay: $35.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Loyalty Bonus:Pays You $1000 at 6 months and $1000 at 1 year

• Deliver SOLOTo: FL and Locations Throughout the Eastern US. Away from home up to 85% of the time
• Tractor Type: Mixture of Sleeper Tractors with 53ft Trailers & 26' Straight Trucks
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful

• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack and Lift Gate
• Freight: Touch/Driver Assist - HVAC

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
