Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for a Grove City, OH route with weekly pay and a $1,340+ weekly guarantee.

Position includes paid training, per diem, and a mix of sleeper and straight trucks. You will deliver to the Eastern US with home time considerations and safety-focused operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test; provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months in last 3 years OR 2 years in last 5 years OR 5 years in last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• $1340 Weekly guarantee
• Hourly Pay: $25.50 Per Hour
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• $2000 Loyalty Bonus
• Per Diem Pay
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Start Time: Around 6:00 AM

• Deliver SOLOTo: FL and Locations Throughout the Eastern US. Away from home up to 85% of the time
• Tractor Type: Mixture of Sleeper Tractors with 53ft Trailers & 26' Straight Trucks
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• 1 year Dry Van experience required.
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack and Lift Gate
• Freight: Touch/Driver Assist - HVAC

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.
