Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Glen Burnie, MD is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to deliver to MD, VA, WV, PA, OH, and DE with home daily routes. Expect weekly pay, paid training, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days, including PTO and 401(k) matching after a year.

Role features a Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends) with early start times, on-site days, and sustained driver support. Expect revenue from mileage, stops, and per diem; earning potential starts at $1,250 weekly with growth

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Pass Ryder drug test and background check including motor vehicle record.
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.
• Provide CDL with endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in tractor trailer or equivalent vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records/logs.
• Assist in loading/unloading freight when required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Weekly Guarantee $1250 per Week
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.740 per Mile for the 1st 90 days
• Solo Stops Pay:$19.89 per Stop
• Per Diem Pay: $64.50 per night with 3 nights per month
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday NO WEEKENDS
• Start Time: 5:00 AM - 6:30 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
