Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Glen Burnie, MD is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to operate day cabs on Home Daily routes across MD, VA, WV, PA, OH, DE. You’ll earn a weekly guarantee plus performance pay and enjoy comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including DOT verification for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide a valid CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Class A verifiable tractor trailer experience: 9 months in past 3 years OR 2 years in past 5 years OR 5 years in past 10 years.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly

• Weekly Guarantee $1250 per Week

• Solo Miles Pay:$0.692 per Mile for the 1st 90 days

• Solo Stops Pay:$19.89 per Stop

• Per Diem Pay: $51.75 per night with 3 nights per month

• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel

• Paid Training

• Schedule: Monday - Friday NO WEEKENDS

• Start Time: 5:00 AM - 6:30 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

• Pass a Ryder Drug Test

• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:

• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR

• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR

• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
