Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lafayette, IN to join a local, home-daily route. You’ll operate day cabs and 53' dry vans, covering a 300-mile radius with no-touch freight and fuel/maintenance support from Ryder.

Earn weekly pay, with guaranteed weekly earnings and comprehensive benefits after 30 days. The position offers a Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday schedule, paid training, and bonuses including a $1000 sign-on at 30 days and another at 90 days, plus safety and performance

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass a Ryder drug test and background check.
• Valid Class A CDL and endorsements; DOT physical.
• Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience in past 3 years, 2 years in last 5, or 5 years in last 10.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and company policies.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain logs and records.
• Load/unload freight if required; assist as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Weekly Guarantee $1385 per week


• Solo Miles Pay:$0.53 per Mile


• Solo Stops Pay:$10.00 per Stop


• Drop and Hook Pay: $6.00 per Drop/Hook


• Shutdown Bonus:Pays You $2000 within the first year


• Safety Bonus:Pays You $250 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter


• Sign On Bonus:Pays you $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age


• Pass a Ryder Drug Test


• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years


• Pass a DOT physical


• Pass a Ryder road test


• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position


• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:




• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR


• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR


• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years




• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions


• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
