Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver for routes in Glen Burnie, MD, with a home-daily schedule and weekly pay. This driving role offers a strong benefits package, paid training, and overnight provisions as needed.

You will operate day cabs on diverse routes, supporting various Ryder accounts with safety-first responsibilities. The position requires a valid CDL-A, DOT physical, and successful drug/background checks.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required or verifiable equivalent.
• 9 months/2 years/5 years experience options accepted in past 10 years.
• Must pass Ryder Drug Test and background checks.
• DOT physical required and road test completed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and Ryder standards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs for routes and deliveries.
• Load/unload freight as needed and assist with handling.
• Support safe, efficient daily driving and routing.

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Glen Burnie, MD - offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Ryder Employees who Drive on this account earn $1769.23 - $1865.38 or more Weekly and it gets better

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly

• Weekly Guarantee $1250 per Week

• Solo Miles Pay:$0.692 per Mile

• Solo Stops Pay:$19.89 per Stop

• Per Diem Pay: $51.75 per night

• Daily Rate: $425.00 when supporting other Ryder Accounts

• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel

• Paid Training

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, Weekend Travel possible

• Start Time: 5:00 AM - 6:30 AM

Deliver SOLOTo: MD, VA, WV, PA, OH, DE, FL. GA, NC & SC

Route: Home Daily

Tractor Type: Day Cab

Able to accept an automatic restriction

TrailerType:42', 45', and 53' Dry Vans & occasional Straight Trucks

Equipment: Electric & Manual Pallet Jack, Dolly

Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful

Freight: Touch - Flooring Material

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

• Pass a Ryder Drug Test

• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

• Pass a DOT physical

• Pass a Ryder road test

• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:

• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR

• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR

• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs

• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer

• Performs other duties as assigned
