Job summary

NFI Industries in Dayton, OH is seeking qualified drivers to join our refrigerated fleet, delivering freight across Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois. Expect regional routes, home on a two consecutive days schedule, on-site management, and late-model Freightliner and Volvo sleepers.

Responsibilities

• Drive with NFI’s dedicated refrigerated fleet across Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois.
• Perform duties safely and in compliance with laws, regulations and customer rules.
• Report equipment issues, accidents, and other problems promptly.
• Assist with route planning and on-time deliveries to stores.

NFI driver expectations and requirements:

• Perform all duties safely and responsibly.
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or customer rules, standards and guidelines.
• Physically capable to perform all job duties, which includes moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
• Ability to report all problems with equipment, as well as accidents, traffic violations, and damage before, during and after route.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
• Ability to perform routes, pickups & deliveries based on customer requirements.
