Honsador Lumber in Kapolei, HI is seeking a Truck Driver (CDL A) to join our team. You will operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport building materials across Hawaii, delivering safely and on schedule while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Hawaii CDL Class A.
• Current driving abstract required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Drives a tractor-trailer and other commercial vehicles with a capacity of more than three tons to transport building materials to and from designated locations throughout Hawaii. Ensures deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all federal and state regulations while providing excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.

• Operate tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Deliver and off-load building materials at customer job sites and company locations.
• Collect payment for goods delivered and delivery charges when required.
• Maintain driver logs and records in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Maintain communication with supervisors regarding delivery schedules and instructions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water levels.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
• Perform minor roadside emergency repairs, such as changing tires, replacing light bulbs, installing tire chains, and other basic maintenance.
• Properly secure loads using straps, chains, blocks, ropes, and other cargo securement devices.
• Follow all DOT, company safety, and operational procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and coworkers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a valid Hawaii Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A).
• Previous CDL Class A driving experience required.
• Must provide a current driving abstract.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
