Honsador Lumber, LLC. in Kailua-Kona, HI is hiring a Tractor Truck Driver (CDL Class B) – Union Position. You will operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport building materials across Hawaii, delivering safely and professionally.

This full-time role offers starting pay of $27.32 per hour with an additional $2.00 per hour incentive, employer-funded pension, affordable family medical coverage, 11 paid holidays, generous vacation and sick leave, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Hawaii CDL Class B.
• Previous CDL Class B driving experience required.
• Must provide a current driving abstract.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Deliver and off-load building materials at customer job sites and company locations.
• Collect payment for goods delivered and delivery charges when required.
• Maintain driver logs and records in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Maintain communication with supervisors regarding delivery schedules and instructions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water levels.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
• Perform minor roadside emergency repairs and basic maintenance.
• Secure loads using straps, chains, blocks, ropes, and other cargo securement devices.
• Follow all DOT, company safety, and operational procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and coworkers.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Drives a tractor-trailer and other commercial vehicles with a capacity of more than three tons to transport building materials to and from designated locations throughout Hawaii. Ensures deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all federal and state regulations while providing excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.

• Properly secure loads using straps, chains, blocks, ropes, and other cargo securement devices.

• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and coworkers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a valid Hawaii Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class B)
• Previous CDL Class B driving experience required
• Must provide a current driving abstract.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
