Qualifications

• Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of crane and rigging considerations such as hitches, shackles, load angles, load weights, center of gravity.
• Follow supervisor directions and crane operator instructions; ensure safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive a vehicle >26,000 GVW to pick up or deliver crane parts and equipment.
• Load and unload contents of the vehicle; assist crane operator as needed.
• Must be able to inspect pre-trip items on truck and trailer and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain an active log and log hours; report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
• Refuel and clean the vehicle; follow traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Plan routes using GPS and coordinate with customers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Mentor other drivers and crane helpers; ensure safety on job sites.
