Job summary

CHS Dakota Plains Ag in Kindred, ND is looking for a Truck Driver to join our team! This driver would haul grain and fertilizer to our customers in a safe, timely and professional manner.

The ideal candidate would have a Class A CDL with their tanker endorsement (or ability to obtain) and be able to work longer days and weekends during peak seasons. This is a M-F home daily role with opportunity for bonus and competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required and valid DOT medical card.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Tanker and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
• Agriculture background preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely pick up/deliveries to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Assist with load/unload as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Treat customers professionally; greet customers promptly and courteously.
• Promptly handle customer concerns and escalate as required.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip reporting and hours of service documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and work environment.
• Perform daily maintenance inspections and report needed repairs.

This driver would be responsible for hauling grain and fertilizer to our customers in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate would have a Class A CDL with their tanker endorsement (or ability to obtain) and be able to work longer days and weekends during our spring and fall busy seasons. This is a M-F home daily role. Join our team today!

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely pick up/deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Assist with or load or unload, as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Treat customers professionally; greet customers promptly and courteously.
• Promptly handle all customer concerns and elevate to leadership if required.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s) inside and out, and work environment.
• Complete and document daily maintenance inspections.
• Ensure proper equipment maintenance is completed including repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, training, personal protective equipment procedures and regulations.
• Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Report all incidents (bodily or property), accidents, and traffic violations to immediately to supervisor.
• Enroll in and complete mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing program and the Continuous Monitoring Program.
• Assist operational staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.
• May include intercompany related driving.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Class A CDL
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals
• Maintain a CDL and DOT medical card
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands
• Tanker, Air Brake endorsements preferred
• Agriculture background preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
