Job summary

HealthTrust Performance Group is seeking a Truck Driver to operate an ROi vehicle, handling loading, delivery, and pick-up of diverse items. You will ensure on-time delivery and proper handling of goods across routes, with strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a Class E license (Class A/B accepted). Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, with benefits and full-time employment in a logistics environment.

Qualifications

  • One to five years of supply delivery experience beneficial.
  • Class E license required; Class A or Class B also acceptable.

Job description

Job Summary And Qualifications

Primary responsibility of operating an ROi vehicle which includes loading, delivery, and pick-up of various items with the possibility of being assigned additional responsibilities. The driver is responsible for the safe delivery of supplies and goods to/from ROi customers. The goods and 22 different services include, but are not exclusive to supplies, mail, small pieces of equipment, lab specimens, food, pharmacy, x-rays, recycle, shred, biohazard, oxygen and laundry.

What you will do in this role:
  • Responsible for pick-up and delivery of all items required at the time of service. All packages with tracking labels must be scanned by the ROi designated tracking system to the department or next step in the delivery process.
  • Responsible for utilizing daily equipment in a safe & damage free manner, (scanning handheld, electric pallet jack, two-wheeler, vehicle, etc. When required, equipment should be logged in and out daily.
  • Conducts daily check in staging area for product that needs to go out for delivery that day. For example, driver mailbox, route racks and refrigerator. Per specifications provided by ROi Transportation Leadership, the driver may be required to inspect the product before delivery. All products must be delivered on the same day.
  • Responsible for all paperwork assigned. Some examples are maintaining vehicle inspections reports, weekly driver reports, temperature logs and laundry sheets. All reports are turned in to the office team determined by ROi transportation leadership.
  • Maintains all paperwork required by DOT in accordance with the DOT standards (i.e. logbooks).
  • Utilizes phone and hands-free cell phone devices to stay in contact with logistics office team for re-routing of product and for better customer service.
  • ROi policy requires performing a daily pre and post trip inspection of all equipment.
What qualifications you will need:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED Preferred
  • Preferred: One to five years of supply delivery experience beneficial with motor vehicles ranging in size of cars to straight trucks with gross weight up to 26,000 lbs. Forklift, pallet jack (powered and non-powered), 2-wheel dollies, carts.
  • Class E license required, also acceptable licenses are Class A or Class B
