Job summary

Legends Global Moscone Center - SAVOR…San Francisco is seeking personnel to operate and maintain the Catering Truck, ensuring food safety and proper equipment handling during events in San Francisco. You will log usage, transport items to venues, and monitor temperature controls throughout transport.

The role requires knowledge of concession equipment, a valid California driver’s license, and physical ability to lift and move heavy gear. Union membership and English proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have working knowledge of concession/cafeteria operations and equipment.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull heavy equipment.
• Must stand, walk, push, pull and lift for extended periods.
• Must follow directions and perform work effectively.
• Must have a pleasant personality and neat appearance.
• Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers and staff.
• Must be a member in good standing of the local Union.
• Background check and legal work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of Catering Truck.
• Complete daily Truck log, logging damages and mileage.
• Transport and secure F&B items, inventory, equipment to SMG and off-site venues.
• Maintain proper temperature controls on transported food items.
• Check all F&B equipment for on-line readiness.
• Tag/report and transport inoperable/damaged equipment for repair.
• Basic repair and maintenance of F&B inventory and equipment.
• Move and transport equipment as requested by SMG management.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
• Instruct utility personnel in placing portable equipment as directed.
• Monitor equipment during functions.
• Inspect equipment on event-by-event or weekly basis.
• Operate forklifts and maintain bar locations.
• Adhere to SMG Recycling Program.
• Inform Asset Manager/Dir. Purchasing/Dir. Operations/Kitchen of problems.
• Assist warehouse and Purchasing as needed.
• Accomplish individually assigned tasks.
• Maintain, clean and sanitize all food service equipment.
• Safely operate all equipment at the location.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and health code standards.
• Follow all SMG rules and regulations.
• Adhere to written Vehicle Policy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Maintain and check all Food and Beverage equipment for on-line readiness.
