Job summary

Legends Global Moscone Center - SAVOR…San Francisco is seeking a production cook to prepare menu items as directed, follow standard recipes, and maintain high quality and sanitation.

The role requires 18+ years old, valid production cook experience, and ability to follow directions. English proficiency and union membership in Unite Here Local 2 are expected or willingness to join.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Progressively responsible experience as a production cook.
• Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
• Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees.
• Must be a member in good standing of Unite Here Local 2 or be willing to join.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items as directed on Production Sheet.
• Follow recipes and Legends Global standard recipe book or as directed.
• Maintain quality food production standards of Legends Global.
• Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions and environment.
• Prepare hot items across multiple stations (Fry, Broiler, Breakfast, Stock, Soups, Sauces).
• Prepare cold items (salads, sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres) as instructed.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain health code standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

POSITION DUTIES:

• Prepare menu items as directed on Production Sheet
• Follow recipes and menu as outlined by Catering by Legends Global standard recipe book or as directed
• Maintain quality food production standards of Catering By Legends Global
• Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions and environment.
• Prepare hot food items for any or all of the work stations, including but not limited to; Fry/Sauté Station; Broiler/Roast Station; Breakfast Station; Stock, Soups, Sauces Station; and others as assigned.
• Prepare cold food items including but not limited to; salads, sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres, as instructed by Production Sheet or Manager.
• Follows all rules and regulations of Catering by Legends Global
• Safely operates all equipment used at the location.
• Maintains safety, sanitation, and health code standards
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Executive Chef/Sous Chef/ Manager/Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have had progressively responsible experience as a production cook, gained through apprenticeship or on-the-job training at a comparable food service facility
• Must have basic working knowledge of food service health codes and standards.
• Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
• Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
• Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees.
• Must be a member in good standing of the local Union or be willing to become a member of Unite Here! Local 2
