Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking a dependable CDL Driver to deliver propane to homes, farms, and businesses in the Austin area. You’ll be on local routes and home each night, upholding safety standards and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• CDL driver experience preferred and a safe driving history.
• Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements, or ability to obtain quickly.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and reliable work ethic.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds in various conditions.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship required.
• Must be able to work on a local route and be home nightly.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver propane to residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
• Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism and integrity daily.
• Provide friendly, professional service as the Ferrellgas face in the community.
• Operate propane trucks and equipment following DOT and company safety standards.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain delivery logs.
• Support customers with questions about deliveries and safety.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend deliveries.

Qualifications

• Previous truck driving experience preferred


• Class A or B CDL, HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement, or be able to obtain quickly


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Good driving record


• Physically able to lift up to 60 pounds in all weather conditions


• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States


• Applicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.
