Job summary

Variety Wholesalers is seeking a Trucking Dispatcher to coordinate and manage the schedules of truck drivers, acting as the communication hub between drivers, clients and suppliers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods.

This role requires knowledge of trucking regulations and laws, strong communication, clerical and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-stress environment at our Henderson Distribution Center in Henderson, NC.

Description

Variety Wholesalers Trucking Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing the schedules of truck drivers, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of goods by acting as a communication hub between drivers, clients, and suppliers, scheduling deliveries, monitoring routes, and resolving any issues that may arise during transport, all while maintaining accurate documentation of shipments and driver logs.

Knowledge of trucking regulations and laws

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition
• Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes and personnel
• Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties
• Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time
