Job summary

Johnson Controls in Maryland is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join our growing team. You will service and maintain heavy commercial equipment, learn through the Service Technical Academy (STA), and advance with factory certification.

This role offers union-aligned pay, the apprentice-rate structure, and benefits. You will troubleshoot, perform installations, respond to warranty calls, and provide quotes to optimize facility performance and comfort.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations and drive results under supervision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems; respond to basic warranty calls.
• Keep Johnson Controls, contractors, and customers informed of progress and issues.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to improve facility efficiency and comfort.
