Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking apprentices to train on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites, with instruction through the Service Technical Academy (STA) to build practical skills and industry credentials. The program emphasizes hands-on learning and safe, professional customer service.

You will develop HVAC knowledge, work under coaching and mentorship, and progress through union-aligned training while contributing to efficient facility operation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience or servicing mechanical systems in HVAC.
• Strong interpersonal and professional presentation with customers.
• Self-motivated and capable of independent work after training.

Responsibilities

• Train on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites.
• Participate in Service Technical Academy (STA) training for skill development and advancement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and address customer needs while onsite.
• Keep customers and contractors informed of progress and issues; ensure safety and compliance.
• Meet attendance requirements for union training in the first year.
• Provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
