Job summary

Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 in Northampton County seeks a School Attendance Improvement Consultant to support truancy prevention in the Wind Gap, PA area. The role is full-time for 10 months, with a salary of $38,008 per year.

You will liaise with school districts, Children Youth & Families, and local courts, coordinate collaborative truancy prevention efforts, and analyze data to measure program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a mental health related field is required.
• At least one year of experience in a collaborative team process.
• Flexible hours may be required based on individualized client needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between IU20, school districts, and county agencies concerning truancy reduction.
• Coordinate collaborative truancy prevention efforts with local officials and judges.
• Provide data collection and analysis to assess program productivity and effectiveness.
• Make parent contacts and facilitate coordination of needed services for families.
• Participate in wraparound services and legal hearings as needed.
• Promote wraparound philosophy with staff across IU20 and local schools.
• Work in collaborative professional teams and liaise with parents and providers to remove barriers to attendance.
