Job summary

KLECH invites applications for a part-time shuttle/trolley driver responsible for safe transport of guests across designated routes including casino, hotel, and parking areas. You will provide courteous service, announce stops, and maintain vehicle readiness with strict adherence to safety policies.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and strong English communication. Prior hospitality or guest-service experience is preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Description

Position Summary

Safely operates hotel trolleys/shuttles to transport guests along designated routes, including the Casino, Hotel, parking areas, parking garage, and RV Park. Provides courteous guest service and represents KLECH and KTTT with professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Follow applicable Tribal, Federal, and other laws, regulations, traffic laws, safety requirements, and KLECH policies and procedures.

2. Safely and courteously transport guests along designated trolley/shuttle routes and announce scheduled stops.

3. Assist guests with trolley/shuttle service and respond professionally to questions and requests.

4. Maintain current knowledge of KLECH, tribal property, facilities, special events, promotions, and local community information to assist guests.

5. Inspect the trolley/shuttle before and after each use to ensure it is clean, safe, and in proper working condition.

6. Immediately report mechanical problems, maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or safety concerns to Hotel Management.

7. Maintain control and accountability of assigned trolley/shuttle keys and radio equipment, including required sign-in/sign-out procedures.

8. Maintain mobility and remain attentive to guest transportation needs throughout the assigned area.

9. Follow KLECH tip-handling procedures, including proper placement of the tip container and completion of required tip procedures at the end of each shift.

10. Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional guest service.

11. Maintain the confidentiality and security of information entrusted to the position.

12. Demonstrate and promote KLECH core values and attend required training.

13. Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

This position has no regular supervisory responsibility but may assist with training or guidance as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Ability to safely operate shuttle/trolley-type vehicles with passengers.

Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and demonstrated driving experience.

Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.

Strong guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently, remain attentive for extended periods, and respond appropriately to changing conditions.

Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and exercise sound judgment.

Strong English communication skills, written and verbal. Spanish or another language is a plus.

Special Requirements

Must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods while operating the trolley and operate vehicle controls safely.

Regularly stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull as required.

Ability to assist guests when necessary.

Ability to communicate effectively in person and by radio or telephone.

Requires adequate vision, depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity to safely operate the vehicle and related equipment.

Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Summary

Primarily operates outdoors and is exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.

Frequent contact with guests and the general public.

Requires extended periods of sitting and may require walking and standing.

May be exposed to varying noise levels and outdoor environmental conditions.

Extended or irregular shifts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

May encounter difficult or upset guests and must respond professionally.

Health, Safety and Conduct Requirements

The team member must follow all Hotel health and safety requirements, properly use and care for assigned personal protective equipment, immediately report defective or missing equipment, and comply with applicable hygiene, exposure-control, emergency-response, security, and workplace-conduct procedures. A professional, service-focused presence is required at all times.

Conditions of Employment

Employment is subject to successful completion of any required background checks and required licensing.

The team member is responsible for keeping all required documents current and valid.

Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have access to reliable transportation to commute to and from work.

Must comply with the KLEH Handbook, internal policies and procedures, applicable safety and security requirements, and applicable gaming regulations.

Must participate in the tip reporting program.

Must successfully complete all required training and comply with applicable safety and conduct standards.
