Job summary

Valar Atomics in Utah and California is seeking highly skilled Process Engineers for its TRISO manufacturing pilot line. You will own major subsystems, install and optimize pilot-scale uranium processing equipment, and work with cross-functional teams to improve performance, yield, and reliability.

You will join a fast-growing energy startup committed to ownership, impact, and practical, scalable nuclear solutions, with travel between Orangeville, Utah and Torrance, California up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Proven engineering excellence.
• Experience in production environments and mentoring a team.
• Strong analytical mindset with root cause analysis ability.

Responsibilities

• System Ownership: own a major subsystem ensuring performance, manufacturability and cost.
• Write and optimize procedures for operation and repairs of chemical processing equipment.
• Perform structural, thermal, chemical, and fluid analyses to validate performance and reliability.
• Model and understand equipment operations to optimize output and meet specs.
• Improve yields and throughput time.
• Collaborate with processing lines, engineering and management.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing to manage cost, timelines and QA.
• Contribute to best practices for safety, documentation and personnel management.
