Job summary

Valar Atomics Inc. seeks a Chemical Vapor Deposition Engineer to join the TRIOS pilot line in Orangeville, Utah. You will own CVD processes, optimize performance, and work with cross‑functional teams to bring advanced nuclear fuel tech from pilot to production.

Required: CVD experience, engineering degree, leadership, and strong analytical skills; willingness to relocate to Emery County, Utah. This full‑time role offers growth in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• Direct experience with chemical vapor deposition.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Proven track record of engineering excellence.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems fluidized beds and CVD coating.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to lead root cause investigations.
• Experience in production environment.
• Experience overseeing and mentoring a team.
• Excellent communication, technical documentation, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Emery County, Utah.

Responsibilities

• Own fluidized bed/CVD coater performance and cost targets.
• Refine procedures and support production transition.
• Improve safety and reliability through analyses.
• Translate engineering analyses into measurable improvements.
• Model and optimize equipment operations to meet specs.
• Increase yields and throughput.
• Drive QC lab collaboration and data reporting.
• Lead RCCA investigations for coating issues.
• Collaborate with vendors on cost and timelines.
• Support safety and documentation best practices.
