Iowa State University is seeking a TRIO Pre-College Programs Director to provide leadership and oversight for the Talent Search and Upward Bound programs. This role focuses on program administration, staff leadership, grant management, student success initiatives, and partnerships that support college access.

The Director will supervise staff, manage budgets, ensure compliance with federal TRIO requirements, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience.
• Master’s degree required for Special Qualifications.
• PhD preferred in related field for advanced leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for TRIO Talent Search and Upward Bound programs.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff.
• Lead planning, implementation, and assessment to support college access and student success.
• Oversee program budgets, resources, and grant administration.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and reporting standards.
• Develop partnerships with K-12 schools and community organizations.
• Direct data collection, analysis, and reporting for program improvement.
• Coordinate grant renewal and funding initiatives.
• Represent programs in outreach, recruitment, and community engagement.
