Job summary

Viterbo University seeks an Academic Advisor for TRIO/Student Support Services to guide TRIO students through academic advising, planning, and resource referrals, while engaging in TRIO programming and campus collaboration. This is a permanent, full-time, 12-month role funded by a grant.

The advisor will manage a sizable caseload, maintain accurate records, and promote utilization of university resources to maximize student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, education, social work, business or related field.
• Three years of significant experience with diverse student populations in higher education or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Five years of significant experience working with diverse, disadvantaged underrepresented student populations in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of TRIO students (approx. 200) with accurate records.
• Provide advising, success planning, and referrals to campus resources.
• Collaborate with HUB and TRIO teams to improve services and engage students.
