Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Empty baskets of cooked potatoes into the hopper feeding the tiromat.
  • Follow GMPs related to food handling.
  • Move baskets to basket wash conveyor for sanitizing.
  • Ensure potatoes are not contaminated at dip stations; follow GMPs.
  • Assist with shift end cleanup.
  • Visually inspect potatoes for correct product on packaging line.
  • Communicate relevant information to shift teammates.
  • Adhere to safety policies and GMPs; maintain sanitary conditions and product quality.
  • Report conditions affecting safety or quality to management.
  • Maintain safe and healthy workplace and adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for keeping the tiromat equipment adequately supplied with cooked potatoes at all times.

This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Responsible for emptying baskets of cooked potatoes into the stainless steel hopper feeding into tiromat.2.Follows all good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) related to food handling.3.Moves empty baskets onto basket wash conveyor for sanitizing.4.Ensures that potatoes are not contaminated by frequent use of hand dip stations in accordance GMP’s.5.Assists with clean up at the end of the production shift.6.Visually inspects potatoes to ensure correct product is on packaging line.7.Effectively communicate relevant information to fellow employees on the shift.8.Adhere to safe work practices, all safety policies and procedures, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.9.Accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.10.Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.11.Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Food Handler’s Permit, Clark County Health Department

The pay range for this position is $15.50 to $17.25 per hour.
