Responsibilities

  • Relieve all PEEL employees for scheduled days off.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures and maintain safe workplace.
  • Run and maintain equipment; make adjustments as needed.
  • Inspect bags/trays for seal integrity, weight, oxygen levels, and proper coding.
  • Document all quality attributes and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Set up and operate metal detector, scale and coder; input data into SAP.
  • Back up TRM position and follow TRM processes.
  • Communicate shift-relevant information to team and next shift.
  • Clean equipment and maintain department housekeeping per sanitation checklist.
  • Assist with SOP development and training of employees.
  • Coordinate with supervisors to understand staffing needs and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards and report any issues affecting food safety.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Relieve all PEEL employees for scheduled days off.

This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Running and maintaining equipment and making appropriate adjustments as needed.
  • Inspect bags/trays for proper seal integrity, weight, oxygen levels and verify proper coding on packages.
  • Provide proper documentation of all quality attributes.
  • Verifying that proper operational guidelines are followed both in cleaning and production activities.
  • Setting-up and operating the metal detector, scale and the coder.
  • Proper input of ingredient usage into SAP.
  • Knowledge and use of TRM system. Will backup TRM position
  • Effectively communicating relevant information to fellow employees on the shift and to oncoming employees at shift change.
  • General cleaning of equipment and maintaining good housekeeping throughout the department per the daily sanitation checklist.
  • Assist with SOPs development and rollout
  • Provide training to employees
  • Work closely with all supervisors to understand staffing needs
  • Accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.

The pay range for this position is $23.15 to $23.15 per hour.
