Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Ardmore, OK is seeking a utility tree trimmer to work on-site with our crew. You will climb trees using established systems, prune and remove trees for major electric utility providers, and safely operate tools and equipment daily.

We require a valid driver’s license, with CDL-A/B and airbrake endorsement preferred. Orientation and safety training are provided, and opportunities for advancement exist within an employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®.

Responsabilités

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems.

• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Maintain and operate tools including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
• Work as an active crew member with ground crew and foreperson.

Compensation Data

Compensation based on experience is: $17.50 - $23.00 hour.

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire

• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
