Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a Line Clearance Trimmer with climbing experience to service the Northwestern OH region from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas. The role involves pruning, removal, and safe operation of equipment for major electric utility providers.

Ideal candidates will have outdoor enthusiasm, a valid drivers license, and preferred CDL with air brake endorsement. Prior line clearance or related tree work is beneficial; ISA certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have valid drivera0a0license.
• CDL-A or CDL-B with Air Brake endorsement preferred.
• Line clearance/tree work experience preferred.
• ISA Certified Arboristae / Tree Worker / TCIA Tree Care Safety Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pruning and removal for major electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs and other objects.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts.
• Function as an active crew member with ground crew and foreperson.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing the Northwestern OH region from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
