Job summary

Everus Construction Group, Inc. seeks a skilled field layout technician to transfer BIM/CAD design coordinates to the field using Trimble robotic total stations.

You will establish control points, perform precise point layout for MEP components, and coordinate with project teams to resolve layout conflicts on active jobsites. The role requires hands-on Trimble experience, OSHA certification, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years' experience with hands-on operations of Trimble robotic total stations and/Trimble layout tools in a construction environment.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification or willingness to get it.

Responsibilities

• Operate Trimble robotic total station and field layout tools to establish control points, set layout points, and verify as-built conditions on active jobsites.
• Perform point layout for MEP hangers, supports, sleeves, penetrations, embeds, anchors, and equipment pads.
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, BIM/VDC coordinators, and trade partners to ensure layout accuracy and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain, calibrate, and care for Trimble instruments, accessories, and related equipment.
• Document completed layout work, prepare field reports, and communicate deviations or RFIs as needed
• Train and mentor field personnel on basic layout tool operation and best practices.
• Follow all site safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations
• Work with tools as needed or required
