Job summary

IES Holdings is seeking a Trimble Design/Operator to support design operations and perform precise field layouts for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems using Trimble technology. You will work with CAD/BIM models and field data to ensure accurate layouts, coordinate across trades, and verify installations in accordance with project specs and safety requirements.

The role requires reading drawings, coordinating with project teams, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Trimble equipment and field layouts.
• Proficiency in CAD/BIM software, including AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing drawings.
• Experience performing field measurements, as-built surveys, and layout verification.
• Attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and update project designs, CAD/BIM models and documentation for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Perform precise field layouts and stake-outs using Trimble equipment.
• Conduct field measurements and installation verification for accuracy.
• Convert and integrate field data using CAD/BIM software.
• Review drawings to identify layout discrepancies and conflicts.
• Coordinate installation layouts across trades and teams.
• Assist with clash detection and constructability reviews.
• Validate layout points, elevations and equipment locations.
• Maintain CAD/BIM drawings and field reports.
• Update designs reflecting changes and site conditions.
• Calibrate Trimble equipment and ensure measurement accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety and project standards.
