Job summary

Alexander Wang in New York is seeking an Assistant, Hardware & Trim to provide critical operational support in trim development and inventory systems. You will collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production and Atelier teams to keep trim development on schedule and maintain organized records.

This role requires exceptional organization, detail orientation, and strong systems thinking to thrive in a fast-paced, design-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in trim sourcing, hardware, or PD/production support in RTW or contemporary brands.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency with PLM systems (RLM preferred) or similar inventory management.
• Strong understanding of materials, hardware, and trim applications across apparel, accessories, and footwear.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; CAD or design software knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage trim development and sampling workflow from conception to pre-production.
• Coordinate trim sourcing and vendor management with local and overseas suppliers.
• Maintain trim records, codes, and development charts in systems and trackers.
• Organize physical and digital trim library for easy access by teams.
• Coordinate testing and approval workflows; organize samples for reviews.
