Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to oversee department operations on the night shift at its Millsboro, DE facility. The role ensures staffing, SOP adherence, and production targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The position requires HACCP knowledge, OSHA/USDA sanitation familiarity, and a minimum of 3+ years in supervisory poultry environments. Strong coordination with HR and safety teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Agriculture, Operations Management and/or Business.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in lieu of degree and previous poultry experience preferred.
• HACCP knowledge and experience.
• USDA regulations on sanitation and pre-operations guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring orders are fulfilled and operating with correct staffing numbers daily; follow SOPs and GPPs for the department.
• Address defects and improvements; follow food safety regulations and correct deviations.
• Meet department metrics: BMPH, Cost/lb, PPMH, A Grade %.
• Follow HR/Safety policies; complete Kronos and Oracle HCM time off requests timely; complete safety and certification training.

Primary Purpose:

Ensures the successful execution of department operations, while ensuring procedures, people and resources are aligned to accomplish established goals regarding quality, efficiency and safety.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring orders are fulfilled and operating with correct staffing numbers daily. Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good production practices (GPPs) for the department.
2. Following product quality and packaging specifications, executing plans to address defects and necessary improvements. Following food safety regulations and correcting deviations.
3. Meeting department metrics; BMPH, Cost/ lb., PPMH, A Grade %.
4. Following prescribed Human Resources/Safety policies and procedures, completing Kronos and Oracle HCM time off requests on a timely basis, completing safety and certification training.
