Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. seeks an Interpreter to provide high quality ASL/English/Spanish interpreting through video in a call center and on-site at various customer locations when needed.

The role requires fluent ASL, spoken English, and Spanish skills, accurate interpreting, and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct. The candidate should be able to travel as needed, with shifts including weekdays and weekends, and must pass assessments and training.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL, spoken English and Spanish language skills
• Able to provide accurate interpretation
• Understanding of Deaf culture
• Adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct
• Three to five years of interpreting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and onsite interpreting for consumers
• Support and model the company's mission and values
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues
• Exhibit professional behavior including punctuality and preparedness for shifts
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and FCC regulations
