Job summary

Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs is seeking a full-time collections specialist responsible for monitoring and enforcing the WSHA collections policy. The role involves handling tenant receivables, issuing collection letters, negotiating repayment plans, and counseling tenants on timely payments.

The incumbent will represent WSHA in Tribal Court as needed and work closely with the current collections officer to provide backup support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
• Valid Oregon driver's license required; must be insurable under the tribal insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce WSHA collections policy.
• Monitor tenant receivable accounts and issue collection letters.
• Negotiate repayment agreements and counsel tenants on paying rent.
• Represent WSHA in Tribal Court on civil actions as needed.
• Coordinate with the current collections officer and provide backup.
