Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or legal field.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable; comply with drug-free workplace.
• Excellent public relations/customer service and communication skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and complete legal documentation for non-payment and non-compliance for current and vacated accounts.
• Research and track employment/address info for vacated accounts.
• Coordinate and negotiate with utilities on shut-offs, move-outs, and move-ins.
• Authorize and negotiate payment agreements for current and vacated accounts.
• Act as plaintiff in Housing Authority court proceedings within the service area.
• Invoice maintenance charges, late fees, and court filing fees.
• Monitor payroll deductions.
• Conduct home visits addressing non-payment and non-compliance.
• Refer residents to Social Service agencies as needed.
• File garnishments and taxes.
• Assist with move-out process.
• Prepare and serve notices.
