Baker Tilly is seeking a Manager to support Tribal government accounting and grants management with ongoing accounting services and grant oversight. The role centers on delivering high-value client deliverables and maintaining strong relationships across engagements.

You will coordinate audits, help develop updated policies, and assist in growing the practice, including occasional travel to client sites and industry events. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, not-for-profit/government experience preferred.
• Experience in grants management, financial accounting, account reconciliation, and government standards is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent client service.

Responsabilidades

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments, including monthly closing, grants management, grant reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers.
• Prepares polished deliverables for clients; ensures timely client deliverables.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Works with clients to understand current business practices, identify improvements, and develop updated policies and procedures.
• Performs project start-up activities, follows project work plans, adheres to schedules, and attends kickoff meetings.
• Coordinates with clients during the audit process, including helping prepare for audits.
• Assists with growing the practice.
• Reviews one’s own and team work for accuracy.
• Serves as an integral member of our Business Consulting Services team.
