The role requires strong communication, 5+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to travel 10-15% as needed across client sites and engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, nonprofit/government experience preferred.
• Experience in grants management, financial accounting, reconciliations, and/or accounts payable preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication via multiple channels (email, phone, chat, helpdesk).

Responsibilities

• Provides accounting and consulting services for Tribal governments.
• Handles monthly close, grants management, and financial reporting.
• Prepares polished client deliverables on time.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborates with clients to improve processes and policies.
• Leads project start-up activities and adheres to schedules.
• Coordinates with clients during audits and helps prep for audits.
• Supports practice growth and reviews team work.
