Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Manager to deliver outstanding accounting services and grant management for Tribal government clients within our Consulting practice.

You will prepare deliverables, develop policies, and collaborate with clients to improve processes while supporting audits and practice growth. Travel approximately 10–15% may be required, and a Bachelor’s in accounting with 5+ years of related experience is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, not-for-profit and/or governmental experience.
• Experience in grants management, financial accounting including account reconciliation, governmental accounting standards implementation, and/or accounts payable processing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including commitment to exceptional client service.
• Ability to understand problems, think critically and identify creative solutions.
• Effective time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Works independently and can collaborate across functions while building trusted relationships.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10–15%.

Aufgaben

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments, including monthly closing, grants management, grant reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers.
• Prepares polished deliverables for clients; ensures timely client deliverables.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Works collaboratively with clients to understand current business practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and assist in updating policies and procedures.
• Performs project start up activities, such as following project work plans, adhering to schedules, and attending kickoff meetings.
• Coordinates with clients during the audit process, which may include helping clients prepare for their audits.
• Assists with helping grow the practice and reviews the work of self and team for accuracy.
• Occasionally travels to client locations, firm trainings, or industry conferences.
